Expect bilingual support, written plans and efficient use of digital x-rays and intraoral cameras so you understand every step.

FAQs

Do you offer warranties or guarantees on treatments?

Yes. Lab-made restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers and dentures, are typically covered for a defined term. Certain implant components may also be included when specified for your plan.

Coverage usually requires following written aftercare, attending maintenance checks and using a night guard if prescribed. Before you begin, you’ll receive the clinic’s current written warranty for your case detailing the term, inclusions and exclusions, for example smoking or missed recalls, and how repairs or replacements are handled.

Where exactly is the clinic and how do I reach it from the US side?

Drive to Andrade, California, park at the Quechan lot and walk across the Algodones pedestrian gate. The clinic is a couple of blocks from the crossing within the small, walkable dental zone.

With your booking, you’ll get a GPS pin, simple landmarks and recommended meet-up or drop-off points. Local taxis on the Mexico side can take you straight to the door if you prefer not to walk with bags.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Clinics serving international patients commonly accept cash and major credit or debit cards. Larger implant or full-arch plans may allow bank transfer.

Your Dental Departures advisor will confirm accepted card brands, any processor fees and whether a deposit is required to reserve surgical or lab time for your dates.

What languages are spoken at the clinic?

Spanish is standard, with English assistance available for consultations, consent and aftercare.

Ask for bilingual paperwork if you prefer English throughout your visit.

How quickly can a root canal and crown be completed?

An uncomplicated root canal is usually planned over 1–3 days.

Adding a post/core and a permanent crown, such as zirconia or porcelain, typically brings the total to around 3–5 days, allowing for lab fabrication and a precise try-in. Steps are often bundled into fewer, longer sessions when clinically appropriate.

Can an implant and final crown be finished in one trip?

Most single-tooth implants are two-stage. Visit 1 includes diagnostics and implant placement, plus grafting or sinus lift if needed. After healing, also called osseointegration, Visit 2 covers the abutment and final crown, with a few days for the lab.

Full-arch solutions, including fixed bridges or snap-on overdentures, follow a similar phased plan. Temporaries and ideal healing intervals are mapped before you start.

Is the first consultation free?

This clinic commonly advertises a complimentary or low-cost initial evaluation for planning.

Your advisor will confirm eligibility for your case and ensure any included diagnostics are listed on your booking.

We have been to Dr Silvia Morales-Gaona several times and are very pleased with the works she has done. I have had crowns done and the root canals have been done by another very capable dentist nearby and at her office. In talking with other patients, they are also very pleased with her work and saved us thousands as opposed to having the work done in California.

Very professional and a wonderful person. Made me feel very comfortable. I had 8 crowns done. I felt she really knew what she was doing and while having this much work done is never a picnic, she made it as pleasant as possible and I left with a beautiful smile on my face😀. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who enjoys a professional and enjoyable experience at your dentist's office which, with all the drilling and lip stretching, most of us do not look forward to, but all considered, this was excellent.
